At Always Reading, our mission is to empower children with an abundance of knowledge through books. To date, we have provided thousands of free and new books to children attending Title 1/low-income designated schools.

We believe that a child growing up with lots and lots of books:

· has a greater chance of graduating from high school and never consider dropping out.

· has a greater chance of having an expanded vocabulary and better reading comprehension.

· has a greater chance of never experiencing the summer slide by having access to books year- round.

· has a greater chance of succeeding in school and in life.

· has a greater chance of moving out of poverty.

· has a greater chance of obtaining a job that pays far above the minimum wage.

· has a greater chance of becoming an avid reader for life.

Therefore, our goal is to take books directly to where the children are – inside the school. We aim to ensure that every child has a home library containing at least 80 books or more.
